Painting in Mineral Point, WI

I took part in the “Painting at the Point” competition held in Mineral Point, Wisconsin August 11 -14, 2021.

My painting spot on the first day of “Paint The Point” was in Soldier’s Memorial Park across the road from Pendarvis.

The village of Mineral Point has numerous homes and businesses dating to the 1830s. The town was settled by miners of Cornish descent and the homes and barns were often made of stone which has proven to be very durable. Pendarvis is a historical site that is temporarily closed because of the pandemic. Some of the stuctures can be seen from the village park across the road.
